"Helping to spearhead a revival of neo-psychedelic pop, California's Sugar Candy Mountain emerged in the early 2010s fusing sunny, retro sounds with lush, sophisticated composition. Ranging from lo-fi experimentation to vibrant Tropicália, early releases like 2013's Mystic Hits soon gave way to a brighter, synth-driven brand of psych-pop on 2018's Do Right. Sugar Candy Mountain's evolution continued with their eclectic fifth album, Impression, in 2021.The band initially began in 2010 as the recording project of Oakland-based musician Will Halsey. From early on, his partnership with collaborator Ash Reiter yielded a unique sound blending classic '60s West Coast psychedelia with pastoral folk and pulling inspiration from pop experimentalists like Brazil's Os Mutantes, the Flaming Lips, and Brian Wilson. The band's self-titled 2011 debut drew largely from Halsey's early, more lo-fi recordings. By the time of 2013's Mystic Hits, Sugar Candy Mountain had evolved into a fully fledged live group with Halsey and Reiter at the helm. The album also expanded on their Brazilian influences and was partially recorded in São Paulo.Reissued for it's 10th Anniversary, Mystic Hits returns to vinyl under their newly minted home record label, Sugar Candy Mountain Records. Available in March 2024 on Lava Splatter (ltd to 1000) and Blood Red vinyl."

Update: these are great! I only charged them the day they arrived 3 months ago from Amazon, and have not had to charge them yet. They work efficiently every time my whole family loves using them,,especially the grandkids. I specifically wanted "push button" , and easy-rechargeable. I have arthritis so it's pretty amazing and wonderful. These rechargeable grinders are lightweight when they arrive, and easy to fill from the top. For each grinder, you will need to turn the top opening slightly to the left to release it, and then pull it open. My 9yo grandson had to show me. The salt and pepper grindersmake a relatively, low grinding sound, and have a small, shining,light at the bottom where the salt and pepper come out onto the food. The performance is good, the salt and pepper output seems not too much and not too little. Charging these grinders was extremely easy, and the little charging unit stand is provided with a C charger which you can connect into the back of the charging unit, and a USB connection on the other end for the wall .

I bought these 6 months ago and they are great. They have stopped charging several times. The problem is the salt gets on the contacts and oxidized the contacts and the unit stops charging. You take sand paper and clean the contacts and they work fine again. I feel if the material on the charging port is made with stainless steel and the contacts on the grinders themselves are larger, I would have given this a 5 star. Even As it stands, I would purchase these again. I have several bad experiences buying manual grinders that last about a month and break. These are High Quality, but need to upgrade the contacts.
