The top front says “Metz” while the bill “Charney”. The left side says “Argonne Sept. 1918 and “Nov. 11, 1918 Meuse”. The back left corner reads “Troyan 1918”. The back right corner reads “Souilly Feb. 1919”. The right side says “St Mihiel Oct. 1918” and below it says Nov. 11 1918 Verdun”. It is all rendered beautifully as you can see. The interior has just the broken leather liner band remaining. It is boldly stamped on the side with the size, 64. This is a literal piece of art!
