The nickel plating on the hilt and crossguard are 90% in place. The brown leather buffer remains under the crossguard. The checkered bakelite black grip plates are in very good shape. The scabbard shows wear and it retains approx. 85% of its original black finish. The blade is in very good condition with the Eickhorn 1935 41 logo.

Remember, the long bayonets were reserved for regular fire staff and the shorter bayonet for the officers and fire chief. This shows light wear only and is in near excellent condition.
