The three DIY oscillators include the 555 timer oscillator (Square wave), Transistor Oscillator (Sawtooth) and Schmitt oscillator (square wave), each oscillator has its own volume and detuning parameters, along with ADSR, Low & High pass filters and 6 effects, the effects include Tape
Tran-Schmitt-5 is a DIY sampled oscillator instrument, each oscillator was home made and sampled, then brought into Kontakt and programmed for a instrument to use.
The three DIY oscillators include the 555 timer oscillator (Square wave), Transistor Oscillator (Sawtooth) and Schmitt oscillator (square wave), each oscillator has its own volume and detuning parameters, along with ADSR, Low & High pass filters and 6 effects, the effects include Tape drive, Noise, Chorus, Reverb, Delay and a limiter circuit, this ultimately leads you down a rabbit hole of sonic possibilities by creating unique sounds from unique waveforms along with shaping the sound using ADSR, filters and on board effects.
The design has been put into 2 versions, the firsts being the prototype breadboard version and the other being a hardware synth version.
These hardware version helps make it easier to navigate around the instrument or, alternatively using the Proto-Type version you don't not know what your getting yourself in for, just turning the potentiometers away and see what sounds good (each potentiometer has been coloured to make each section noticeable).
This instrument requires the full version of Kontakt v6.7.1 or later.
