Joining the SLX family of reels, the Shimano SLX MGL 70 Casting Reel delivers an ultra-compact design that excels when fishing small lightweight lures. Super compact and extremely palmable, the Shimano SLX MGL 70 Casting Reel features Shimano’s MGL Spool, which reduces spool inertia for improved casting distance and accuracy with smaller baits. Its HAGANE Body and aluminum frame also provide a rigid and rugged feel that can handle heavy duty applications like flipping and pitching.
Reinforced with brass gearing, the Shimano SLX MGL 70 Casting Reel boasts buttery smooth cranking performance and plenty of power to put trophy-caliber fish in the boat. Backed up by Shimano’s SVS Infinity braking system that allows you to make finite adjustments to reduce backlashes, the Shimano SLX MGL 70 Casting Reel makes fishing lightweight lures on baitcasting equipment easier than ever before.
