• 95 Points James Halliday
Wine Companion 2024 Edition
Bleasdale has been using Cabernet Franc in blends for over 25 years. The opportunity to
present the varietal on its own was too hard to resist, especially as a bouncy, fresh and crunchy
red. This wine has been made with minimal yet attentive winemaking and is bottled with low
sulphites for early consumption, a perfect spring/summer red.
Bright crimson red with purple tints, the perfume is inviting with rose petal, musk and raspberry
from whole berry fermentation along with some candle wax and star anise/fennel complexity.
The palate is lively with a silky middle palate, some structural savoury tannins and a crunchy red
apple finish.
