The Emperor Loach is a striking, active freshwater loach, renowned for its bold coloration, distinctive pattern, and social behavior. With its energetic swimming and bottom-foraging habits, it adds dynamic movement to large community tanks.

Native to Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand and surrounding regions. Inhabits fast-flowing rivers and streams with rocky or sandy substrates and plenty of hiding spots.

Omnivorous. Accepts sinking pellets, flakes, frozen foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis), and live foods. Regular feeding encourages natural foraging behavior and enhances vibrant coloration.

Peaceful with similarly sized, non-aggressive species. Compatible with barbs, rainbowfish, peaceful cichlids, and other loaches. Avoid very small fish that may be eaten.
