 RUSSIA

Catherine II

Copper 1763 MM 2 Kopecks OVERSTRUCK on 4 Kopecks

Red Mint. Moscow. Large Crown.

Weight-21,65 g.

D-35;C# 58.5

The 1762 coins were overstruck by Catherine the Great because Peter III, who
ruled briefly in 1762, had changed the monetary standard so that the value of
the copper coins were doubled by halving the amount of copper. That is, the
value of one ruble of copper was deemed now to be worth two rubles. One kopeck
became two kopecks, two kopecks became four, etc.

Catherine changed the monetary standard back to what it had been previously.
Although two kopeck and five kopeck pieces of Catherine are sometimes found
struck over two and five kopecks of Elizabeth, most of them were struck over the
1762 issue to prevent coins of the same weight but different denominations from
circulating concurrently. This is the primary reason that the copper coins of
Peter are so scarce. Secondly, Peter’s coins had a distinctive design, so by
seeing the traces of his designs on an overstruck piece, no signs of the date
are necessary to identify the date of the under type, since his coins were
struck only in 1762.

Not durable
Color: Black/White, Size: Large
If you have a dog who likes to pop things then this toy isn't it. Within 5 min she had this ball popped. It was made to sound like it was durable for this type of thing but it definitely is not so just be aware. Now if you have a dog who doesn't pop things easy then this would be a good toy

WHAT I LEARNED
Color: U.S.A, Size: Medium
i AM NOT SURE THAT 4 STARS IS A FAIR SCORE, MY DOG IS AN AGGRESSIVE CHEWER, NEEDLESS TO SAY WITHIN 2 DAYS ALL THE TABS WERE OFF, BUT THERE WERE NUBS LEFT AND SHE CAN USE THAT. HERE IS A WHAT NOT TO DO, BRING IT TO THE DOG PARK, THEY ALL HAVE A BLAST BUT IF YOUR A BULLY/PIT MIX AND DECIDE TO SINK THEIR TEETH INTO IT, IT DOES DEFLAT. LESSONS LEARNED STILL A FUN TOY.

Sturdy ball with pump
Color: Black/White, Size: Medium
Thick material so it won't pop so easy. Comes with a hand pump and 2 ball needles. Tabs for the dog to carry in his mouth. Although my dog bites the whole thing to carry. Savage loves it!
