German WWII Police Officer’s Sword by Alcoso***STILL AVAILABLE***German WWII Police Officers Sword by Alcoso This is a pre 1941 example. It has beautiful patina. The black bakelite handle is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips. The silver plated steel pommel, grip and crossguard are nicely toned. The brass eagle on the handle is nicely toned and a good fit to the handle. The lower fitting above the crossguard has lost its silver finish, but the steel has toned to a nice charcoal gray. The silver-plated steel pommel, grip and crossguard are nicely toned. The brass eagle on the handle is nicely toned and a good fit to the handle. The lower fitting above the crossguard has lost its silver finish, but the steel has toned to a nice charcoal gray. The original scabbard paint remains 95% in place and shows only a few scuffs. The top scabbard fitting has darkened to the same gray color as the lower grip fitting. Actually, this whole sword has a very nice patina. The fitting at the tip remains a nice bright silver color. The Alcoso marked blade is in very good condition. The logo scale can be seen just below the crossguard. This sword measures approx. 38 inches (96.52cm) in length. A handsome offering!
