5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is a natural compound found in every living cell. It is involved in biochemical reactions throughout the body, especially in the manufacturing of neurotransmitters in the brain. 5-Hydroxytryptophan is converted into serotonin in the body, which may help elevate mood, assist in controlling hunger and promote restful sleep.

THE STORY BEHIND 5-HTP POWER
Nobel Prize winner Frederick Hopkins discovered tryptophan about 100 years ago. Only a few decades old, 5-HTP, or hydrolyzed tryptophan, is often derived from the seeds of Griffonia simplicifolia, an African shrub.
Eleuthero hails from southeastern Russia and northern China. It’s also found in Korea and Japan. Locals refer to eleuthero as devil’s shrub, wild pepper and Russian root. It has been prized for 2,000 years in this region.
Ashwagandha hails from India and has a long history of use—more than 2,500 years—in Ayurvedic Medicine. Its nicknames include Indian ginseng, winter cherry and strength of the stallion, indicating the root’s ability to support stamina and help build the immune system.
Vitamin B6 was discovered by Paul György in 1934 and later isolated by Samuel Lepovsky at UC Berkeley.
RECOMMENDED USE
Take one capsule with a meal three times daily. The 35 mg of 5-HTP in this product allows flexibility when adjusting serving size.
