The Shure VN45HE is the hyperelliptical replacement stylus for the Shure V15 Type IV cartridge. It was Shure’s higher-grade stylus option for the V15 IV, with a hyperelliptical diamond profile designed for improved groove tracing compared with a standard elliptical stylus. Original VN45E, VN45HE and VN45MR replacement styli have been out of Shure stock since the late 1990s, which is why genuine examples are now sought after by V15 Type IV users.
