The dress was designed with the stylistic elements of the High Middle Ages as a garment for the simpler classes, which is particularly well accentuated by the fabric of unkempt cotton.

Since simple servants and maids had to work hard for a living, the medieval dress is not floor-length, so as not to get dirty, and is sleeveless, to provide the necessary freedom of movement. It’s a perfect garment for warm days; but with an undergarment (for example with our Under Dress Freya or as a set), it is also suitable for the less sunny session. All our fabrics are pre-washed, but cotton can still easily shrink during the first wash.
