This hand knotted Kurdish Bidjar runner combines one of the most technically durable Persian weave structures with the timeless Herati pattern, creating a runner that balances visual intricacy with extraordinary longevity. The coral red field is fully covered in repeating Herati diamond motifs rendered in navy, aqua, and ivory, extending continuously across the full length without interruption. The Herati pattern has remained one of the most enduring design traditions in Persian weaving because of its rhythmic balance and adaptability to elongated formats like runners. Here, the small scale repeat creates remarkable visual texture and consistency while maintaining clarity throughout the composition. An especially distinctive feature is the ivory border carrying pictorial tribal figures, stylized animals, and geometric motifs rendered in coral, blue, and brown. This narrative border introduces folk art character and contrasts beautifully against the structured geometry of the field. Bidjar’s dense compacted wool pile provides exceptional durability for high traffic use, while vegetable dyed wool enriches the coral and navy palette with lasting depth and warmth.

Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari rugs originate from southwestern Iran and are especially admired for their bold compartmentalized garden designs inspired by Persian paradise imagery. The field is often divided into individual panels filled with flowering trees, blossoms, birds, and botanical motifs arranged like miniature gardens across the rug’s surface. These richly decorative compositions create a tapestry like effect filled with movement, color, and symbolic meaning. Deep reds, navy blues, greens, ivory, and gold tones dominate the palette while naturally dyed wool adds warmth, softness, and dimensional depth throughout the pile. Bakhtiari rugs are also known for their sturdy construction and substantial wool texture, reflecting the strong tribal weaving traditions of western Iran. Combining tribal vitality with decorative sophistication, Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari carpets remain treasured examples of Persian folk artistry and craftsmanship.

Attractive and reliable
Very attractive color. Numbers are large enough to read. Honestly don’t know if watch is completely water resistant because have not had the opportunity to find out. Love that watch lights up!

Easy to use/see
My eyesight is bad enough I cant use my cellphone at all without glasses. The clean display face and awesome backlight on this mean I can see the time any time of day or night without my glasses or a light. Super simple to use: Pull out the plastic protector on the crown Pull the crown out 1 click to set/back in when done Push on the crown for a REALLY good back light

Almost the perfect watch
Color: Black/Blue
I have owned three earlier models of these things going back to the days when I actually ran road races. They are brilliant pieces of work. My only complaint of them was that the start/stop/split button(s)--there were two on the older models--were too small. Well, apparently Timex listens and the two small buttons are now combined into one larger one. Probably this was done years ago but I'm only now getting back into road work, so now I get to discover it. The perfect watch? Almost. I especially like this model as my eyes are not what they used to be and the oversized face makes it easier to read. The downside to this is that it also makes the crystal easier to scratch. That's always been an issue, but I can live with it. No, the real problem with this product is, was, and apparently ever shall be, the band. Now, it could be worse, it could be a resin band (like the old ones) that will crack and break within a couple of years, but no, this is a nylon and velcro wrap style which should be just dandy, but for three glitches: 1. it's too short 2. it's too narrow (gee whiz, Timex designers, it's an oversized watch, why not a matching oversized band?) and 3. it's still resin where it attaches to the actual watch. Now, I imagine it's probably less prone to breakage in how it's implemented, but if you should choose to replace it, I can see no obvious way of removing it short of cutting it off. Really? But these are minor complaints. I doubt it would be comfortable on anyone whose wrists are much bigger than my own, but replacement bands are everywhere, and this watch will keep time with style and it's brilliant at splits. Heck, it even functions admirably as a backup for my expensive stopwatches at our regular short track stock car events. For my money (and did I mention the price is wonderful?) the Ironman is still the best at what it does, and for what it can do.

Good hard use watch.
Color: Black/Silver-Tone
Review Calibration: 3 stars means it works as advertised, nothing special during use, and no amazing features. Higher stars mean better-than-expected performance and features. This is 5 stars because it is my favorite work/hard-use watch. I have been wearing one for years, and like all Timex watches, it can take a beating. I have to replace it when the band's ears get so damaged that they won't hold the band on. This has more to do with the plastic's lifespan than with a design issue. I am hard on watches. This watch normally lasts ne 7-10 years between replacements.
