The Cork Placemat – Fish on a Line (Navy) from LIGA brings natural charm and practical function to your dining table. Crafted from organic cork sourced from sustainably managed forests in Portugal, this placemat combines lightweight durability with a naturally water-resistant surface, making it perfect for everyday meals and casual entertaining. The contemporary Fish on a Line print in navy adds a whimsical, nature-inspired accent to your table setting while complementing a range of dinnerware styles — from coastal to modern classic.
Each placemat measures approximately 30 cm in diameter with a 1 cm thickness, providing generous coverage for plates, bowls, and glassware while protecting surfaces from heat and spills. The cork material absorbs moisture and resists stains, helping to keep your tabletop clean and easy to maintain — simply wipe with a damp cloth as needed.
Beyond its functional benefits, cork is an eco-friendly choice: it is biodegradable, naturally harvested without harming the tree every nine years, and supports the health of cork oak forests that play a role in carbon sequestration and habitat preservation. LIGA’s screen-printed designs are applied by hand in Cornwall, adding artisanal character and quality to each piece.
The Fish on a Line (Navy) motif evokes a coastal, nature-inspired aesthetic that works beautifully for seasonal dinners, themed gatherings, or everyday use. Whether paired with matching cork coasters or mixed with other prints from the collection, this placemat adds both practical protection and visual appeal to your dining experience.
