Kennedy Space Center visitors learn about America's achievements in outer space and meet astronaut retired Navy captain, Jon McBride. Up the coast, the harbor, a historic Spanish fort and lighthouse in St. Augustine is introduced as America's oldest continuously occupied European settlement. Citrus production is big business in state and so are cows. Cattle ranching on Lightsey Ranch is an eight-generation affair. Everyone pitches in to preserve a unique Florida tradition.

Airboats have explored inland waterways for years, a ride in fast boats is great way to see vast expanse of marsh and swampland. It soon evolved into water ski show. In the Keys, USA's southernmost point, author Ernest Hemingway's house and famous Duval Street landmark - Sloppy Joe's. Tarpon fishing is popular, best way to get a glimpse of fish is at Robbie's - for a dollar, visitors feed fish right off docks. Offshore, World Record holder Billy Pate shares fishing knowledge. DVDDAFL REVIEW: Discoveries America: Florida
...Wow...a whole hour displaying the wonders of Florida and not a House of Mouse in sight! Still, there are plenty of other familiar images of the Sunshine State featured in this entry from Jim and Kelly Watt's fine Discoveries...America series. Miami (without the Vice or C.S.I.) is a modern, vibrant international city, while only a few miles away, the Everglades slumber in prehistoric splendor.

Further on down the coast are the infamous Keys, culminating in one of the major party cities of the US, Key West. The spirit of Esther Williams is channeled in the wet and wild programs of Cypress Gardens, Florida's oldest tourist attraction, and one that still draws crowds to its thrilling aquacades. A tour of the Kennedy Space Center, a toast to the incredible citrus industry, and an in-depth look at St. Augustine - the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the U.S.A. - are just a few of the highlights in this beautifully photographed, fast-paced look at America's vacation paradise. Recommended.

Great weird horror
Format: Kindle
The Department of Truth: The End of the World is the first trade volume of this series, collecting issues 1-5. I don’t want to get into spoilers, but I enjoyed seeing a world building element I was familiar with in fantasy be applied to conspiracy theories. I also loved the art. It’s really stunning! I almost want to buy a print edition in addition to my Kindle/ComiXology edition because it’s so beautiful. I found the plot and concept compelling and can’t wait to read volume 2.

meh...
Format: Paperback
collecting the entire universe, so obviously i picked this up. i absolutely LOVE the stuff written by Ryan Parrott, but it seems like the some of the side stories were just thrown into the universe for the sake of 'diversity'. identity politics is injected into BOTH of the books in this series (that i have read so far... im somewhere in the middle of year two) that were written by Melissa Flores, for no reason except projection, propaganda and forced diversity quotas. the book isnt even an extreme offender or anything, but the 'community' has caused so many problems, in ever facet of society that they have attached themselves to, that i (and so many others) now see any of it as huge red flag... and that is sad, because i was raised to have the EXACT opposite viewpoint, and i did, for well over 30 years (just turned 40).
