The Kestrel 5500 Environmental Meter with LiNK and Vane Mount allows it to become a full-featured weather station with large wind vane and precision pivot keeping it oriented into the wind for continuous measurement and logging of altitude, barometric pressure, crosswind, density altitude, dew point temperature, direction (wind direction and orientation), headwind/tailwind, heat stress index, relative humidity, station pressure (absolute pressure), temperature, wet bulb temperature (Psychrometric), wind chill, and wind speed. The Kestrel LiNK app also displays real-time readings on a vivid, customizable dashboard - providing a remote display that functions up to 100´ away (line of sight). The Kestrel 5500 features a large, high contrast screen, dual color backlight, scratch- and breakage-resistant window, corrosion-resistant battery compartment with secure door, intuitive user-interface, plus it tracks and logs over 10,000 sets of time-stamped data. Data log can be transferred to a mobile device wirelessly, or to a PC/MAC with the optional waterproof USB Data Transfer Cable (sold separately). Combine the Kestrel 5500 with a portable vane mount and portable tripod (tripod sold separately) for a data-logging weather station that rotates in even the slightest breeze and is ideal for short-term monitoring.
