When selecting your turbocharger size, you have the option to upgrade to an extreme duty, steel 360* thrust bearing. What is the significance of that? A 360* thrust bearing in a Borg Warner turbocharger refers to a design where the thrust bearing completely encircles the center housing, allowing the thrust load to be distributed evenly in all directions of the shaft. The choice between cast and billet materials for compressor wheels hinge on various factors, with neither being inherently superior. 

Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Cast wheels are cost-effective to the efficiency of the casting process, making them more affordable and suitable for mass production. On the other hand, billet wheels are machined from a solid piece of material offering precision and customization, making them advantageous in demanding conditions, such as high-performance or racing applications. However, billet wheels come at a higher cost.
