In this new and revised edition of “True Love”, James M. Renihan considers afresh the vital and practical theme of love in 1 Corinthians 13. Christian love is central to the life of every believer. When Paul speaks of the work of the Holy Spirit in believers, love is the first thing he mentions (Gal. 5:22), when our Saviour prepared his disciples on that final night in Jerusalem, he spoke to them about love (John 13), and when we contemplate our salvation in Christ we must helplessly confess that God first loved us before we loved him (1 John 4:19). Read this little book and see God’s glorious plan of true love in His church! This exposition of 1 Corinthians 13 will show us what true Christian love is all about.

If you're looking for a short and sweet book that discusses the famous "love" chapter in the Bible, you'll want to get True Love by Dr. James Renihan. I'd recommend this book for anyone studying 1 Corinthians or the biblical theme of love. I'd also recommend this book as a good one to read/discuss in your church's community group, book club, or Bible study-from high school to older adult, both men and women. Finally, it would make a great gift book-not too long and tedious, but short, sweet, and focused on Jesus.’ Shane Lems, Minister, Covenant Presbyterian Church OPC, Wisconsin, USA
