How do you breed for compact plant with white flowers?  There have been many large sized plants with  white flowers not so much in smaller plant forms.  This cross is where we are working to achieve the goal of compact plants with white flowers (without the spade lip shape of walkeriana) Angel Bells (C. Empress Bells x C. Little Angel) is a classic white Cattleya with flowers well displayed above of the foliage, pure white and a glistening texture. Victorian Lace (C. Moon Festival x C. walkeriana) is a small plant just 6” tall, its flowers are flat and full shaped with beautiful form.    We are optimistic on several fronts with this cross. The large alba flowers and of ‘Suzie’ and the small plant, shape, and alba color of ‘Diamond Orchids’ are expected to get to the goal. This is a new area in the breeding of Catts
