Ginsan represents a perfect fusion of traditional knife-making techniques and modern metallurgy. As a result, Ginsan offers a rare blend of the classic performance of Japanese high carbon knives while incorporating stainless steel properties. The term Hongasumi, meaning "true mist," refers to the stunning mist-like patterns on the blade, created during the forging process of Ginsan with iron.
