KDF85-20B 4.5" x 20" Coconut GAC + KDF85 Big Blue size cartridge. For Well Water or City Whole House filtration as well as Commercial use.
This filter is made from coconut shell GAC in combination with KDFÃ¥ media to significantly extend the life of the filter cartridges and provide exceptional filtration. KDFÃ¥ 85 media is a redox media that removes heavy metals.
The GAC Activated carbon has remarkable cleaning and absorptive properties, which makes it an effective way to purify water. Chemicals and contaminants in the water are absorbed by the carbon, effectively removing and reducing them from the water.
The addition of KDFÃ¥ media is used to complement activated carbon filters. It aids in filtering iron and hydrogen sulfide from well water as well as controlling scale.. Additionally, the KDF has the ability to remove water-soluble cations via the oxidation-reduction process, resulting in a cost-effective alternative to chemical treatment.
