Light: Ferocactus schwarzii thrives in bright light and enjoys several hours of direct sunlight each day. A sunny windowsill, greenhouse, or conservatory is ideal. Plenty of light will encourage healthy growth and maintain its compact shape.
Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. As a desert cactus, it is highly drought-tolerant and prefers infrequent watering. Water sparingly during the growing season and reduce watering significantly during winter when the plant is dormant.
