The kit includes the Shapton Kuromaku Japanese Whetstones #1000, #5000, and #12,000. These stones are part of the colour-coded Kuromaku series, where each colour represents a different coarseness level. They are versatile Waterstones that can also be used as oilstones.
The stones come in a convenient storage case, which not only makes it easy to carry them but also doubles as a sharpening base.
