PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is a nice, large, polished Green Mutokolite Standing Display Piece from Mutoko, Zimbabwe. This piece has well-defined Chrome Muscovite / Emerald Mica Inclusions in feldspar and mica. Rare material from a very limited pocket, polished at Toprock.
We originally thought that these were emeralds on the mica, as green gemmy crystals in mica usually only means one thing! This time it didnt and we went through a list of similar minerals; Apatite, Clinoclase and then had it tested and it turned out to be much rare than Emerald and is a unique gemmy emerald green Muscovite, taking its colour from the Chrome in the Great Dyke..a geologically challenged area which brings on the unique minerals. You wont find too mamy of these in your average rock shop!
