MICHELIN® X® TWEEL® SSL 2 airless radial tires are available in two tread patterns: All Terrain and Hard Surface Traction. This second generation MICHELIN X TWEEL SSL offers significant new benefits, including:
- Improved shear beam construction engineered to maximize core life.
- New spoke material helps provide up to 10 times greater spoke life compared to the previous models.
- New interlocked hub designed to increase durability in demanding conditions.
KEY FEATURES
- Deep open tread (AT) designed for excellent cleaning and traction. A deep layer of under tread means the core can be retreaded again and again.
- Zero degree belts (under the tread) and proprietary design provide great lateral stiffness, while resisting damage and absorbing impacts.
- Michelin’s proprietary Comp10 Cable™ forms a semi-rigid “shear beam”, and allows the load to hang from the top.
- Universal, 8 hole, interlocking heavy gauge steel hub for robust attachment to the machine.
- High strength, Polyresin spokes carry the load and absorb impacts, help dampen the ride, and provide a unique energy transfer that reduces pneumatic bounce.
What is a Michelin ® X ® Tweel® Airless Radial Tire?
- No Maintenance The MICHELIN® X® TWEEL® airless radial tire is one single unit, replacing the current tire and wheel assembly. There is no need for complex mounting equipment and once they are bolted on, there is no air pressure to maintain.
- No compromise The unique energy transfer within the Polyresin spokes helps reduce the “bounce” associated with pneumatic tires, while providing outstanding handling characteristics.
- No downtime (no flats!) The TWEEL® airless radial tire is designed to perform like a pneumatic tire, but without the inconvenience and downtime associated with flat tires.

Will last a good while despite not being overly thick.

I purchased these socks about 14 months ago and I use them regularly with maybe five other pairs of socks made by a different brand. No holes so far. I used to buy Hanes and they barely lasted a week before I had to throw a pair of them out. I still use all six of these socks (assuming I can find them!) I often walk outside on my cement patio or tiptoe through the grass in socks so I am a little tough on them I guess you could say. I'm also very active. I don't exercise at a gym and thus don't use them in tennis shoes but walk most of the day when at home. I run around in my yard doing yard work and gardening. I also have worn them regularly at work while walking around in my steel toed shoes (which rub) and they somehow lived through that. They still look fine: no discoloration or weak spots in the heel which is usually the first sign of wear for me.
They are comfortable too. I don't feel any line at the toes and they don't rub or fit too tight in any way. I love the height of these, they are so short that they slip down in your shoe but not overly tall (I don't like the look and feel of tall socks). They are also lightweight and very breathable.
So great quality for the price. I'd recommend and I will likely buy the same brand in the future.

Excellent, sturdy socks

These socks are a little pricey, but they're thick and well-made. I also love the little pops of color on top. I got a set at a local sports store and was so impressed that I immediately got another off Amazon. Two years later, I still have all twelve pairs, and they're as comfy and good-looking as they were on day one. The cheaper socks I bought previously have become thin, cold, and holey.
