Mixed Lettuce Salad is a colourful blend of green and reddish lettuce types selected for fresh home-grown salads. The mix produces leaves with different shapes, shades and textures, making it an attractive choice for kitchen gardens, raised beds, pots and grow bags.

Young leaves may be harvested for baby-leaf salads, while plants can also be allowed to develop larger leaves for repeated picking. The tender foliage can be used in salads, sandwiches, wraps and garnishing.

Lettuce is naturally valued as a fresh leafy vegetable and can be included as part of a balanced diet. For best colour, texture and growth, cultivate the plants during Pakistan’s cooler growing periods.

Main Features

  • Mixed green and reddish lettuce leaves

  • Suitable for salads, sandwiches and garnishing

  • Can be harvested as baby leaves or mature foliage

  • Suitable for pots, grow bags and garden beds

  • Good choice for home and kitchen gardens

  • Repeated leaf harvesting is possible with proper care

Growing Instructions for Pakistan

Sowing Seasons

  • Spring: February to April

  • Autumn and early winter: September to November

In warmer areas, sow during the cooler part of these periods. Protect young plants from strong heat, hot winds and harsh afternoon sunlight.

Sowing Method

  1. Fill a seed tray, pot or garden bed with soft, fertile and well-draining soil.

  2. Sow the seeds approximately 0.5–1 cm deep.

  3. Cover lightly with fine soil or compost.

  4. Water gently using a fine shower so the seeds are not displaced.

  5. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.

  6. Place the container in bright light with protection from intense afternoon sun.

Germination

Seeds generally germinate within 5–12 days, depending on temperature, moisture and seed condition.

Spacing

For mature plants:

  • Distance between rows: Approximately 30 cm

  • Distance between plants: Approximately 25 cm

For baby-leaf production, seeds may be sown more closely and harvested while the leaves are young.

Soil Requirements

Use rich, soft and well-draining soil. A suitable mixture may contain:

  • 50% sandy garden soil

  • 50% well-rotted organic matter or vermicompost

The soil should retain light moisture without becoming compacted or waterlogged.

Sunlight

Provide around 4–6 hours of gentle sunlight. During warm weather, morning sunlight with afternoon shade is preferable.

Watering

Water whenever the upper soil begins to feel slightly dry. Maintain even moisture, as irregular watering can affect leaf quality. Avoid standing water around the roots.

Fertilization

Mix vermicompost or well-rotted compost into the soil before sowing. During growth, a light application of organic fertilizer may be given every 15–20 days. Avoid excessive fertilizer, especially in very hot weather.

Harvesting

Baby leaves may be harvested when they reach a suitable usable size. For continued production, pick the outer leaves first and leave the central growing point undamaged. Harvest during the cool morning hours for fresher leaves.

Important Care Tips

  • Protect seedlings from birds, slugs and snails.

  • Avoid overcrowding; thin excess seedlings where necessary.

  • Ensure good airflow around the plants.

  • Use a light mulch to help retain moisture.

  • Provide partial shade if temperatures become unusually high.

  • Wash harvested leaves thoroughly before use.

Great dog bones
Flavor Name: Variety Flavored, Size: Small-under 20LBS
My dogs really like these bones. They are a very durable material and easy for the dogs to hold onto while they chew. They are resistant to the chewing and don’t fall apart. They keep my dogs entertained and happy.

NOT for Aggressive Chewers.
Flavor Name: Bacon Flavored, Size: Medium/Large-under 60LBS, Flavor Name: Bacon Flavored, Size: Medium/Large-under 60LBS
I received 2 of these on May 6th and gave 1 to my Golden retriever then gave my Miniature Heeler the second 2 days ago on May 10th. This image is taken on May 12th. It’s too soft to be labeled for Aggressive chewers because with other bones I have previously purchased the bones have been lasting forever. Which has me concerned about how much plastic-like material they’re consuming. I don’t recommend this one for Aggressive or even Moderate chewers.

JoviQ Dog Chew Toys for Aggressive Chewers
Flavor Name: Bacon-2Pcs, Size: Medium/Large-under 60LBS
These dog chews have been some of my dogs favorites for a few weeks now! They've managed to work a whole end off the t-bone already which is a bit surprising, usually these types of bones take them much longer to make that much 'progress' on so I think these are a bit on the softer side as far as plastic bones go! Otherwise they've worked well for my must-chew-everything dogs and haven't caused any problems (I fully expect them to eat small bits of plastic with these but its that or the walls and carpet so..)
