Professional-Grade 24V Charging with Adaptive 7-Stage Technology
The Victron Blue Smart IP65 24V 5A Battery Charger delivers advanced, microprocessor-controlled charging for 24V lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. Engineered for workshops, vehicle fleets, marine applications, and off-grid systems, this charger combines high efficiency with robust environmental protection. Its IP65-rated enclosure resists dust, water, and chemical splash, making it suitable for engine bays, exposed marine environments, and industrial settings where reliability is critical.
With up to 95% conversion efficiency, the charger minimises energy waste and heat buildup. Silent, fanless operation eliminates moving parts that can fail or introduce noise, while the adaptive 7-stage charge algorithm actively conditions batteries to extend service life. Unlike basic trickle chargers, the Blue Smart IP65 recovers deeply discharged batteries from as low as 0V, automatically transitions to a maintenance float stage, and compensates charge voltage based on ambient temperature to prevent overcharge in hot conditions or undercharge in cold climates.
Smart Bluetooth Monitoring and Configuration
Built-in Bluetooth Smart allows wireless connection to the VictronConnect app on your smartphone or tablet. From the app, you can monitor live charge voltage and current, select battery chemistry profiles, enable low-current mode for smaller batteries, and activate reconditioning for sulphated lead-acid batteries. The app also logs charge history, helping you track battery health over time without needing additional shunt-based monitors.
Key Features
- Adaptive 7-stage charge algorithm: bulk, absorption, recondition, float, storage, refresh, and low-current mode
- Recovers deeply discharged batteries from 0V, even those considered dead by other chargers
- Dedicated Li-ion mode with under-voltage protection reset for 24V lithium batteries
- Temperature-compensated charging for lead-acid batteries (16 mV/°C) to optimise performance in extreme temperatures
- Low-current mode (2A) for safe charging of small batteries without risk of overcharge
- Power supply mode for running 24V DC equipment or maintaining system voltage during battery replacement
- IP65 splash-proof and dust-tight enclosure with integrated mounting holes for permanent installation
- Silent, fanless design with no moving parts for long-term durability
- Quick-connect DC output with included alligator clamps and M8 eyelet terminals
- 1.5-metre AC input cable with AS/NZS 3112 plug and 1.5-metre DC output cable
- Reverse polarity, short circuit, and over-temperature protection
- Ultra-low standby consumption of 0.5 W and back-current drain of less than 1 mA per month
Built for Australian Conditions
Rated for full output up to 30°C ambient and operational from -40°C to +60°C, the Blue Smart IP65 handles Australia's diverse climate. The sealed electronics and corrosion-resistant terminals withstand high humidity, salt spray, and dust ingress, making it a dependable choice for coastal marine use, outback travel, and unsealed vehicle compartments. The charger meets EN 60335-1 and EN 60335-2-29 safety standards, with EMC compliance to EN 55014-1, EN 61000-6-3, and EN 61000-3-2, ensuring it won't interfere with sensitive onboard electronics.
Applications
- 24V truck, bus, and heavy equipment battery maintenance
- Marine and boat battery banks requiring IP65 protection
- Off-grid solar battery backup systems using 24V lead-acid or lithium
- Workshop and service centre battery charging and diagnostics
- Classic car and motorcycle storage with long-term float maintenance
- Industrial equipment and scissor lift battery charging
Whether you're maintaining a fleet of trucks, keeping a yacht's house bank topped up, or recovering a deeply discharged battery in the workshop, the Victron Blue Smart IP65 24V 5A charger provides the precision, protection, and connectivity professionals demand. Add this charger to your toolkit today and experience the difference adaptive smart charging makes to battery life and reliability.
