De EMC Mellanox MCX354A-TCBT is een dual-port 40Gb/s VPI-adapter (Virtual Protocol Interconnect) op basis van de Mellanox ConnectX-3-chipset. Het bijzondere aan deze kaart is de VPI-technologie: via software is de kaart configureerbaar als 40GbE Ethernet óf als QDR InfiniBand (40Gb/s) — twee protocollen op één kaart, zonder hardwarewissel. Met twee QSFP-poorten op PCIe 3.0 x8 levert de adapter maximale bandbreedte voor storage, HPC en gevirtualiseerde omgevingen.
