De Vallejo Acrylic Primer is verkrijgbaar in een verscheidenheid aan basistinten die vaak worden gebruikt om het oppervlak van modellen of miniaturen voor te bereiden voordat het schilderproces begint. Deze primer kan op alle oppervlakken worden aangebracht, inclusief resin, PVC, messing, witmetaal of hout.

De primer behoudt zelfs de kleinste details van een model en verbetert de hechting van de daarop aangebrachte verf. Het wordt aanbevolen de primer in meerdere lagen aan te brengen. Het product droogt snel en vormt binnen enkele uren een homogene film van uitzonderlijke sterkte en duurzaamheid.

De Vallejo Acrylic Primer kan direct worden gebruikt of worden verdund met Vallejo Airbrush Thinner of Flow Improver. De aanbevolen compressorinstellingen liggen rond 15-20 PSI of 0,5 tot 1 kg. Voor de beste verzorging van de airbrush wordt aanbevolen Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner te gebruiken.

Awesome Boards….BUT the Smell!!!!

I’d love to give these 5 stars, they are heavy, well made, smooth, deep juice grooves, just nice….but the smell! I washed them, then used vinegar on them, set them outside over night, washed them again….its better but still present. I’d love some guidance on this. I’m hoping it goes away in a few days. It’s like a very strong woodsy smell that actually made my whole kitchen smell like these boards! Edit: Ok, here's what I did. Washed, let dry, coated and scrubbed with apple cider vinegar, set them in a high air flow area for 24 hours (I put mine outside on the patio over night), washed and scrubbed again, let dry, scrubbed with lemons and salt, let dry, washed again. Finally, there is still a slight smell if you push them against your nose but that seems to be fading as well. So, great boards if you want to go stubbornly go through the smell removal process. I don't think it's a chemical smell, I think it's processed bamboo that is shrink wrapped in air tight packaging too soon after manufacturing. Anyway, I'll move this to 4 stars....but lots of work involved here!

Don’t worry about the smell!

These are great for the price, though I’ve never had any desire or need to use the smallest one. They smell strongly of BBQ at first, but from what I’ve read that’s a natural result of a heat treatment used to increase it’s durability and dark color (the heat cooks the sugars in the bamboo which creates the scent). Anyways, I’ve had them for awhile now and the scent is long gone.
