Eiwitten zijn essentiële voedingsstoffen die we uit de voeding halen. Ons lichaam heeft ze nodig voor een betere spiereiwitsynthese en spieropbouw. Het is aangeraden voor sporters om 1.2-1.7 g eiwitten per kg lichaamsgewicht per dag in te nemen, verspreid over de hele dag.
Eiwitten bestaan uit aminozuren of de zogenaamde bouwstenen van ons lichaam. Er bestaan in totaal 20 aminozuren, waarvan 9 essentiële aminozuren. Het lichaam kan deze laatste niet zelf aanmaken en dus moet je ze via de voeding binnenkrijgen. Drie daarvan kennen we onder de naam BCAA's (Branched-Chain Amino Acids of vertakte keten aminozuren): leucine, isoleucine en valine.
Voor wie kan Etixx BCAA voordelig zijn?
Etixx BCAA is geschikt voor alle krachtsporters, zoals werpers en sprinters ('power sporten'). Het voedingssupplement kan ook nuttig zijn voor wie op recreatief of wedstrijdniveau aan team- en racketsporten doet ('intermittente sporten').
