Schubertii wordt ook wel de ‘vuurwerk’ Allium genoemd door de wat ‘explosieve’ bloeiwijze. Na de bloei zijn de uitgebloeide bloemschermen nog lang decoratief in de tuin. Geschikt voor verwildering. Deze Allium trekt tijdens de bloei vlinders en bijen aan.
