This high‑density rack‑mount gateway is designed for broadcasters and system integrators who need to migrate large numbers of 12G‑SDI signals into SMPTE‑2110 IP environments while retaining absolute signal integrity. It provides eight fully independent bidirectional conversion channels between 12G‑SDI and uncompressed IP video, all within a single 1 RU chassis. By using SFP cages instead of fixed copper Ethernet ports, the unit offers maximum flexibility for long‑distance connections via optical fiber, making it ideal for large studios, outside broadcast facilities and campus‑scale installations. 

Each conversion path supports automatic multi‑rate detection, allowing seamless handling of SD, HD, Ultra HD and DCI 4K formats up to 2160p60. Incoming SDI signals can be reclocked to maintain timing accuracy before being placed onto the IP network, ensuring clean integration with existing infrastructure. All eight channels can operate simultaneously and independently, enabling dense signal aggregation or distribution without compromise. 

Full compliance with the SMPTE‑2110 family of standards guarantees predictable, broadcast‑grade IP transport. This includes support for uncompressed video, PCM audio and ancillary data, along with traffic shaping for reliable operation on managed networks. Precision Time Protocol support allows synchronization to a common PTP clock, while NMOS compatibility simplifies discovery and connection management in complex IP systems. Multicast support further enables efficient distribution of video, audio and metadata to multiple destinations from a single source. 

Operational confidence is enhanced by an integrated front panel featuring a 2.2‑inch colour LCD, rotary encoder and dedicated control buttons. This interface provides immediate access to signal status, video formats, audio monitoring and configuration menus, reducing dependency on external control systems during setup or troubleshooting. Firmware updates and detailed configuration are supported via USB‑C and a dedicated Ethernet management port.
