Louis Roederer's Rosé Vintage is produced in the traditional way, that is, by letting the must have skin contact for the first 4-5 hours of the initial fermentation. This method gives a delicate and fine color. For Vintage Rosé, they use (depending on the vintage) 30-38% Chardonnay and 62-70% Pinot Noir grapes, which come from some of Roederer's oldest vines in Cumières, which are known for producing extremely concentrated must both in taste, aroma and the color. No malolactic fermentation in this wine, but 20-24% of it is matured in wooden barrels after the first fermentation. The fermentation in the bottle lasts for a period of 4 years, and after decorking the wine is further stored for 6 months before shipping. The liqueur that is added during the decoction (liqueur de dosage) amounts to 8-10 g per liter and is composed of wines selected from 8-10 of Roederer's best Grands Crus fields and which are aged in cask for 4-10 years. Cuvée 2014 has aged in bottle for 4 years before disgorging and 6 months after, to achieve the desired maturity and balance before release.

In the aroma, the wine is very complex with nuances of ripe, red fruits (blackcurrants and currants) and toasted bread. In the taste, it is the elegance that comes out especially with a very aromatic finish, which makes the wine very charming despite its dark style.
