          This is a wonderful book that truly distills the new challenges and opportunities of parenting. As I’m reading the various sections, I feel seen as a new parent who doesn’t want to show off vulnerabilities or inexperience because I’m her Dad; I should know everything to give her the best life possible. Many uncertainties are plainly talked about and we are given encouragement. One I must remind myself is that feelings aren’t facts. Our daughter is only two, but we feel much better prepared as we all grow. The only part of the book that really isn’t helpful for us is chapter 45: Welcoming a New Baby. Nope! We were blessed when our daughter arrived and her feet will be the only ones that go pitter-patter. Do your whole family a favor and check this book out.
