De plaat is geschikt voor binnenbetimmeringen waaraan geen decoratieve eisen worden gesteld. Underlayment is gemakkelijk te zagen en te frezen. Doordat de plaat is voorzien van tong en groef kun je er handig 1 aansluitend geheel van maken. Let op bij de toepassing van de plaat! De voorzijde van de plaat is namelijk mooier van kwaliteit dan de achterzijde. Wil je de plaat schilderen? Zorg er dan voor dat je beide kanten dezelfde bewerking geeft. Door dit te doen voorkom je kromtrekken. Het hout is FSC-gecertificeerd en daarmee afkomstig uit duurzaam beheerde bossen. De plaat wordt meestal toegepast bij vloeren en wanden in een droge en licht vochtige omgeving. Van zichzelf is de plaat niet vochtbestendig. Gebruik daarom bij verwerking van de plaat in een vochtige omgeving altijd een geschikte randsealer om de randen af te werken.
