Vitamine B12 1000 mcg van Vitals bestaat uit zuigtabletjes met de biologisch actieve vorm methylcobalamine. In veel andere vitamine B12-producten wordt gebruikgemaakt van cyanocobalamine, een synthetische vorm die zo niet in de natuur voorkomt. Het voordeel van een supplement in de biologisch actieve vorm is dat de vitamine B12 direct beschikbaar is voor het lichaam en niet omgezet hoeft te worden.
Functies van vitamine B12
Vitamine B12 is in de vorm van methylcobalamine nodig voor 5-methyltetrahydrofolaat (5-MTHF, de biologisch actieve vorm van folaat) om homocysteïne om te zetten in methionine (ook vitamine B6 is hierbij betrokken). Een te hoog homocysteïnegehalte is onwenselijk.
Soms wordt vitamine B12 bij bepaalde mensen niet goed opgenomen. In dergelijke situaties kan aanvulling van de voeding met een hoog gedoseerd B12-supplement (1000-2000 mcg) uitkomst bieden.

Samenstelling
Samenstelling per dagdosering van 1 zuigtablet:
1000 mcg vitamine B12 (methylcobalamine)(40000% RI*)

Ingredienten
Zoetstoffen (mannitol en xylitol, uit plantaardige bron), verstevigingsmiddel (hydroxypropylcellulose), antiklontermiddel (magnesiumzouten van vetzuren), kersenaroma, zuurteregelaar (citroenzuur), methylcobalamine.
Gebruik
1 zuigtablet per dag onder de tong laten smelten of zoals geadviseerd. Met zoetstoffen. Overmatig gebruik kan een laxerend effect hebben.Let op: Dit product bevat geen folaat zodat het gebruik van een multi met een ruime dosering folaat erin mogelijk blijft in combinatie met dit B12-product.

Great value, does the job
Paper plates can vary widely with individual plate strength, resistance to sogginess, size and more. These are plain paper plates that we use in a plastic holder. Nothing special, but they do the job as expected.
The real selling points are the fit in my holder (these are appropriately snug suggesting size integrity) and do they hold up long enough for a meal. Thumbs up in both respects. They are standard thickness, so you can expect them to work with light loads. Plunk some heavy food on the plate and you better either double-up or use a holder like I do.
The one thing I don't like is the difficulty in separating out individual plates. Without this effort you inevitably peel out 2-4 plates at a time. (Maybe these are supposed to be double layer? Could be.)
The best reason for buying this set is the low cost per plate. We use these for every meal when it is just my wife and I and go through a lot of plates. The value for the money can not be beat.

Sturdy paper plates
I ordered "too" heavy paper plates. A paper plate is used daily to zap my bacon in folded over paper towel. I use them daily for various kitchen tasks.

Less expensive than local grocery stores
This pack of paper plates works out to be a lot less expensive than my local grocery, and unlike the grocery store, Amazon always seems to have it in stock.
These are your basic, thin paper plate. We use them with plastic paper plate holders to add support. I think it's a good deal.
