In 1998 nam Johan Reyneke de boerderij van zijn moeder over. Hij besloot met de wijnbouw een andere richting in te slaan. Zo gaat hij volledig volgens de regels van de biologische landbouw te werk. Maar daarbij gelooft Reyneke in de filosofie van Rudoph Steiner. Die gebruikt namelijk kruiden, mineralen en kosmische cycli als bijdrage aan landbouw. Met deze manier van werken is Johan een van de pioniers in Zuid-Afrika, Stellenbosch, geworden. De 100 procent Chenin Blanc druiven zijn afkomstig van biologische wijngaarden nabij de Atlantische Oceaan. De wijnstokken genieten van de verkoelende zeebries, waardoor de druiven uitstekend kunnen rijpen. De bodem bestaat uit zand en graniet, wat bijdraagt aan het smaakprofiel. Wanneer de druiven optimaal rijp zijn worden ze zorgvuldig geoogst en direct naar de wijnmakerij gebracht. Hier ondergaan de druiven een natuurlijke gisting in roestvrijstalen tanks. En met een succesvol resultaat. De Organic Chenin Blanc heeft in de neus aroma;s van peer, perzik, citroen en appel. Na verloop van tijd zijn er ook hints van ananas aanwezig. In de smaak veel rijp fruit, dat mooi samen komt met een aangename zuurgraad. Het begeleid je naar een droge lange afdronk met een aangename structuur. Brings history to life
Format: Paperback
Got this book as a read aloud before traveling to London. We did a tour of the Tower of London and used the map in this book, marking off the different parts we walked theough- talking about which parts were the setting of different scenes in the book. Reading this gave my kids a real love and personal connection to the Tower. Cliffhanger endings to different chapters. My 9 and 6 year old lived it. My 4 year old couldn't keep up.

Accessible, fun, and exciting.
Format: Kindle
While this book is aimed at younger readers (it includes, for examples, expletives like "Zooks!" and "Zounds!"), I Escaped The Tower of London is a neat historical fiction novella with taught pacing that readers of all ages can enjoy. Using the real-life account of John Gerard as inspiration, the authors have created a young boy who escapes from the Tower of London while attempting to aid Princess Elizabeth during Queen Mary's reign. It's exciting, it fast-paced, and it even has a pleasant message about doing the right thing — even when the right thing is hard to do.
It's packed with a hodgepodge of images (most of them public domain, but also a few original pieces) that add to the experience. And the end includes a brief lesson on the historical figures involved. Despite the source material, you shouldn't worry if you (or your young ones) are squeamish; the main character sidesteps the torture and there's very little violence.
All in all, quite a good read. Very accessible, surprisingly fun and exciting.

What an amazing story that tells about history from the perspective of a kid named Ben that was pretty much forced (but was thankful for the work) to work with coal in the Tower of London, to find out Princess Elizabeth was arrested and sent to the same tower. The plot thickens as he helps her escape. He was met with many challenges, but his best friend Tim helped him always, what a faithful friend! I absolutely love and adore this story because it’s based on history and real life facts, these things actually happened! But when you read it, the author has written it so well it almost sounds like a fantasy! I can’t wait to read more, it’s such a great book, I give it 5 stars but really it deserves 10! Highly recommend!
