Deze halal kippendijen zijn zonder vel en ideaal voor wokken, bakken of voor in een ovenschotel. De Polderhoen is een speciale ras, anders dan de gangbare kip. Het is een Franse kip (Hubbard), de kuiken van deze ras groeien op in de Flevopolder met speciaal biologisch voer, rijk aan kruiden en granen. Ze hebben de ruimte om vrij rond te scharrelen en groeien langer op hun eigen tempo op. Dit zorgt ervoor dat deze kippen stevig vlees en een ouderwets fijne smaak ontwikkelen.

Een gangbare kip weegt na zes weken zo'n 2,2 kilogram, terwijl de Polderhoen na zes weken 1 kilogram weegt en na 11 weken 2,6 kilogram. Het halal biologische kippenvlees van de Polderhoen heeft meer smaak en een stevigere structuur dan gangbaar kippenvlees. De slachtleeftijd van de biologische Polderhoen kip is 70 dagen (regulier 35 dagen). Dit biologische kip vriendelijke en volwaardige leven is beloond met het drie sterren Beter Leven keurmerk van de Dierenbescherming.

This was a slow moving book. Lots of character pov chapters, lots of superfluous descriptions and endless courtly appearances stalled this book to start. Once you get into the heart of the story, it takes off. Before you know it the book is done. My favorite character is Reyna. She is so strong. She is true to herself. She gets into a lot of trouble with her headstrong ways but it's entertaining. I have high hopes for Lorcan. He is honorable to a fault. Thane had turned out to be better than I thought but i still don't like him. Eislin is useless. Great plot twists at the end. I'm looking forward too book 2.

Wolf is your next book boyfriend; Huntyr is your next vampire assassin independent bad-a*s female. Themes include loyalty, trust, self-discovery, a true slow burn romance.
