Deze Carex groeit compact en spreidt zich rustig uit, waardoor hij ideaal is voor borders, schaduwrijke plekken en als vakbeplanting. Dankzij zijn betrouwbare groei is hij zeer geschikt voor onderhoudsarme tuinen.

Standplaats en verzorging
Carex morrowii ‘Ice Dance’ groeit goed op vrijwel alle grondsoorten en doet het het beste in halfschaduw tot schaduw, maar verdraagt ook zon als de grond voldoende vochtig blijft. De plant is winterhard en onderhoudsarm. In het vroege voorjaar kan oud blad worden teruggesnoeid om een frisse, compacte groei te stimuleren.
