Dit is de groene Japanse Esdoorn Acer palmatum 'Dissectum' op stam. De prachtige diep ingesneden bladeren zijn fris- of lichtgroen van kleur en verkleuren in de herfst naar geel/oranje.

Bloeitijd Japanse Esdoorn - Acer palmatum 'Dissectum' op stam

Vanaf maart/april begin deze halfstam Japanse esdoorn blad te geven. In de herfst zijn de bladeren geel/oranje van kleur. De volwassen hoogte van dit boompje op stam is in grote lijnen al bereikt. De bladeren zijn diep ingesneden, zoal typerend is voor Japanse esdoorns en wat deze boom buitengewoon decoratief maakt! Het geeft uw borders met zuurminnende grond meer diepte.

Goede combinatie met Leliegras 'Liriope', Ooievaarsbek 'Geranium', Maagdenpalm 'Vinca Major', Skimmia Rubella dwergheesters of Schaduwkruid 'Pachysandra' bodembedekkers. Tevens geschikt voor kleine plantvakken.

Aanplanten en standplaats Japanse Esdoorn op stam

Groenbladige Japanse edoorns, zoals deze Acer palmatum ‘Dessectum’ halfstam staan graag in de halfschaduw. De Acer Palmatum is zuurminnend. Gebruik daarom bij het aanplanten DCM - Aanplantgrond voor zuurminnende tuinplanten. Voorzie de grond jaarlijks van zure meststof om de bodem zuur te houden.

Bijzonderheden

Laat het afgevallen blad in het najaar liggen, deze verzuren tegelijkertijd de grond. De Japanse esdoorn soorten met groen blad zijn enkel geschikt voor een plek in de halfschaduw, volle zon in de zomer kan het blad wat beschadigen.

Zuurminnend

De Japanse esdoorn soorten zijn dus zuurminnende tuinplanten. Hierdoor laten ze zich goed combineren met andere zuurminnende struiken, zoals de Rhododendron, Hortensia en Skimmia. Deze boom is ook makkelijk te combineren met een kant-en-klaar borderpakket voor halfschaduw. Ook mogelijk om in een plantenbak te plaatsen, dan wel regelmatig bewateren en niet in de volle zon plaatsen.

TL;DR: Not worth the money I’ve had quite a few cooling pillows and, while not the worst, this is also not the best in my experience. First, I had to take the cover off. It was ridiculously thick, thereby negating any cooling effect that I could feel. With the cover removed, the cooling sensation is noticeable when laying your head on it and it lasts for a minute or so. On the bright side, when the cooling feeling completely dissipates, the pillow doesn’t feel hot like some others. Having to lay on it without the cover makes it less comfortable because of the encasing material. Other than that, I’d rate the support and comfort as mediocre as well. Not worth the money in my opinion, maybe if it was about 33%-50% less.

Is this a Casper or Tempurpedic?
When I went to wash the pillow covering I discovered that it iterally had a Tempurpedic factory pillow covering underneath the Casper factory pillow covering - leading me to believe that it was either a return item shipped out as new, and the previous owner actually returned a Tempurpedic pillow disguised as a Casper, or Casper is actually manufactured by Tempurpedic and uses the Casper brand to upcharge. Either way - it's turned out to be an overly expensive - mediocre pillow.

Does not cool, is hot actually
I am very disappointed with this product. I write a lot of reviews and give credit where credit is due. I wish credit was due here. I bought this as a gift for my wife. She slept on it for a few nights and finally stated that it never cools and is hot instead. And so I tried it and found the same thing. I bought an inexpensive cooling pillow from Costco and we both found that one to cool a little bit and it isn’t hot. I’m summary, you don’t always get what you pay for and at $100, this pillow does not deliver. It’s supportive and it seems well made, which is why I give it two stars. But it does not deliver any cooling. Save your money and try a different pillow.
