The ESP32 is probably one of the most popular microcontrollers used by many people, including students, hobbyists, and professional engineers. Its low cost, coupled with rich features makes it a popular device to use in many projects. Recently, a board called the ESP32 Cheap Yellow Display (CYD for short) is available from its manufacturers. The board includes a standard ESP32 microcontroller together with a 320x240 pixel TFT display. Additionally, the board provides several connectors for interfaces such as GPIO, serial port (TX/RX), power and Ground. The inclusion of a TFT display is a real advantage as it enables users to design complex graphics-based projects without resorting to an external LCD or graphics displays.

The book describes the basic hardware of the ESP32 CYD board and provides details of its on-board connectors. Many basic, simple, and intermediate-level projects are given in the book based on the ESP32 CYD, using the highly popular Arduino IDE 2.0 integrated development environment. The use of both the basic graphics functions and the use of the popular LVGL graphics library are discussed in the book and projects are given that use both types of approaches.

All the projects given in the book have been tested and are working. The block diagram, circuit diagram, and the complete program listings and program descriptions of all the projects are given with explanations. Readers can use the LVGL graphics library to design highly popular eye-catching full-color graphics projects using widgets such as buttons, labels, calendars, keypads, keyboards, message boxes, spinboxes, sliders, charts, tables, menus, bars, switches, drop-down lists, animations, and many more widgets.

Once I figured out the arms had a left and right...the chair was easy to put together. The faux leather is nice. The seat is (or will be once I break it in) very comfortable. I have 2 minor complaints. It is extremely straight up and down. I haven't had much chance to play with it to see if I can get it to recline even an inch. That would help. And number two, it's HOT. I'm going to have to get some sort of seat pad because the pleather is not breathable and every time I get up my bum is sweaty. I know, TMI. But all in all I think it will serve my purposes.

Comfortable chair as advertised. Assembly time about 20 minutes with one screwdriver needed. (Note: don't follow the instructions included. Lay the left arm assembly down on the floor and THEN affix the seat, followed by turning that over on its side and adding the right arm assembly. Trying to affix the two arms in an upright position is too difficult as directed.) The only thing I don't like about it is the fluted upholstery on the seat and back, where a bit more padding would have helped greatly. Otherwise, it's comfortable and functional and reasonably priced. Delivery was on time. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS AFTER 18 MONTHS OF USE: I've used the chair for 6-8 hours a day. The leather on the arms is cracking in multiple places. This is a big disappointment. And speaking of the arms, there's a major problem with the sewing of the leather on the outside edge of both left and right arms: the stitching is on the top at the outer edge, which means that it forms a jagged edge that your arms scrape on when resting on the leather. That jagged edge scraping my skin has caused a great deal of chafing, is most irritating, and could have been avoided entirely if they had just applied the stitching one inch further down on the side rather than along the top flat edge. This is a major design flaw. I will not buy this chair again because of the one flaw and the too-thin, cracking leather on the flat top of the arms, which is too bad, because it's fine in all other ways.

I work from home, so having a really comfortable chair that supports my back and provides me a nice place to sit for 8 hours is really important to me. I ordered this chair in March 2023 and was really happy with it at first. Sleek, easy to put together, and comfortable. I then had an issue with it because after I sat on it while wearing leggings, the entire seat and armrests turned black from the fabric. No other furniture I own turns black from my leggings. I reached out to the seller and they were kind enough to provide me a replacement for the seat and the two armrests at no charge. I went through the whole summer and didn't wear leggings. However, I am now in Oct 2023 and wearing leggings again. The chair seat and armrests are black again, but there is also a lot of wear to the chair in general. I understand I sit in it a lot, but the seat lost its comfort factor. Additionally, I lean on the left armrest a lot and it shows - there is a large indent on it. The fake leather material is just not for me and the chair no longer looks attractive. I wish it lasted longer considering how much I paid for it.
