Blackmagic Teranex Mini SDI to Displayport 8K HDR

This advanced monitoring unit is designed to deliver exceptional visual fidelity for modern high resolution production workflows. It enables professional DisplayPort monitors to be used as color accurate SDI reference displays, supporting formats up to 4320p60. Its versatility makes it suitable for on set environments, grading suites and broadcast control rooms where precise control of image quality is essential. A robust internal architecture ensures that video signals are processed with minimal latency while preserving the full dynamic range, clarity and color accuracy inherent to 8K and HDR formats. 

The unit offers multiple DisplayPort output options including two full size ports and a USB C DisplayPort connection. This accommodates both traditional computer monitors and newer professional displays such as those used in advanced grading workflows. The built in scaler automatically adapts the incoming signal to the native resolution of the connected monitor, ensuring that images are displayed with optimal sharpness and pixel accuracy. Operators can also select a pixel by pixel mode which removes scaling completely to allow critical examination of HD or Ultra HD sources without interpolation. Auto switching between Two Sample Interleave and Square Division formats ensures seamless operation across differing 8K signal structures. 

Monitoring precision is further enhanced by integrated broadcast scopes which can be overlaid directly on the image. These include waveform, parade, vector and histogram scopes, each of which can be independently positioned and resized with adjustable opacity. This allows cinematographers, colorists and broadcast engineers to verify exposure, chroma levels and technical compliance in real time. HDR monitoring is supported through ST2108 1, ST2084 and ST425 standards, enabling accurate interpretation of PQ and HLG transfer characteristics. The system also supports Rec.709 and Rec.2020 color spaces and covers one hundred percent of the DCI P3 gamut for high end color critical work. 

Calibration tools allow compatible probes to be used for precise alignment of connected displays. This ensures consistent color rendering across multiple monitors and supports workflows where absolute accuracy is required. A front panel LCD provides live video, audio metering and format information, with physical controls for quick adjustments. The rear panel includes Quad Link 12G SDI inputs for HD through 8K sources, supporting both single link 4K operation and dual link or quad link 8K signals.
