Zoologist Perfumes Hyrax - Extrait de Parfum is een extreem gedurfde, dierlijke en rotsachtig-warme nichegeur die bekendstaat als een van de meest uitdagende creaties binnen het merk. Deze geur werd uitgebracht in 2018 en is gecreëerd door parfumeur Sven Pritzkoleit. Hyrax is geïnspireerd op de Afrikaanse klipdas (hyrax) en de geur van door de zon verwarmde rotsen, minerale aarde en dierlijke sporen in een droog landschap. Het resultaat is een intens animalisch parfum met een mix van leer, rook, kruiden, hars en “hyraceum” (een fossiele, dierlijke substantie die een zeer unieke, muskusachtige diepte geeft). 

De opening is scherp, kruidig en licht bloemig met saffraan, elemi, roze peper en Turkse roos. Deze combinatie zorgt voor een warme maar prikkelende start: saffraan geeft een droge leerachtige hitte, terwijl roze peper en elemi een groene, harsachtige frisheid toevoegen. De roos blijft op de achtergrond en geeft een subtiele zachtheid die contrasteert met de ruwe opening.

Soccer ball just for dogs

I could say "soccer", and our shoodle would wag her tail ready to play soccer with a tennis ball so I tried out this real soccer ball with her. Mostly, she just wants to wait for me to kick it, playing defense, so she can chase it like the tennis ball. After that she wants to usually bite it or roll over on top of it as a way to secure the ball, but sometimes she will have fun pushing it around with her nose or paws. I wanted to get a regular 6" soccer ball for our shoodle, but this was a good choice for dogs for the durability and safety of the rubber material. The hexagons give the dog some grip to pick it up. The rubber is soft enough to grip and expel air when they do figure out how to grip it.
