In combinatie met de BR-M9220 remklauw wordt dit remsysteem een van de krachtigste in het Shimano XTR assortiment. Met 4 zuigers zorgt het voor een constante, progressieve remwerking, afgestemd op de eisen van enduro rijden. Het gebruik vanminerale olie met een lage viscositeit zorgt voor een stabiel contactpunt, ongeacht de temperatuur of de lengte van de afdaling.
