Het tweede luik ‘Arrival’ sluit het project ‘Destination Rachmaninov’ van Daniil Trifonov af. De pianist brengt ons hier het eerste pianoconcerto van de Russische pianist samen met het derde concerto, een van de moeilijkste en meest veeleisende uit het repertoire. Hij stelt ons ook zijn eigen pianotranscripties voor van de bekende ‘Vocalise’ en van ‘The Silver Sleigh Bells’, de virtuoze eerste beweging uit de koorsymfonie ‘The Bells’. 80 jaar geleden nam Rachmaninov zelf deze 2 concertos met het Philadelphia Orchestra op. Trifonov treedt in zijn voetsporen en neemt deze meesterwerken opnieuw op met hetzelfde orkest, hier onder leiding van Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
