De Afrikaanse of Arabische wierook of Frankincense is afkomstig van de Boswellia carterii. Wierook essentile olie wordt door stoom distillatie gewonnen uit de hars van de boom. Het heeft een lichtgele of groenachtige kleur en is kruidig harsig van geur. Wierook verjongt de huid en

Wierook verjongt de huid en werkt heel goed tegen rimpels. Wierook olie heeft bij een fysieke toepassing de volgende eigenschappen: zuiverend samentrekkend huid herstellend verlichtend rustgevend. Wierook werkt kalmerend en geruststellend vermindert spanning en stress en verbetert de stemming. Deze olie is ideaal om voor het mediteren te verdampen.
