Spore Helden Arena borduurt voort op Spore Creatures, dat ook op de DS verschenen is. Je creëert jouw eigen Held, die het als gladiator opneemt in gevechtsarena's tegen vijanden. Het is de bedoeling van planeet naar planeet te reizen om elke lokale held te verslaan. Door dit te doen, krijgt jouw Held nieuwe vaardigheden. Deze kunnen goed gebruikt worden om allerlei optionele missies uit te voeren.

Spore Helden Arena laat spelers zelf 3D-beesten in elkaar zetten en tegen andere monsters strijden van over het hele universum. Daarnaast kun je het ook tegen drie vrienden opnemen, of via Wi-Fi tegen andere spelers. Spelmodi zijn onder andere Battle Royale, waarin vier helden de ring in gaan en er maar één uitkomt. Ook is er King of the Planet, waarbij je de kroon moet grijpen en in handen houden. Er zijn vijftien verschillende Bio-aanvallen waarmee je de strijd in jouw voordeel kan beslechten.

I've bought this 9 times since it's my Maltipoos' favorite toy! Unfortunately the one that just came in is not up to par as those previously bought. The leather was cut sloppily & the sewing sometimes ran off the leather completely or so close to edges could easily be chewed open. I can't send back because bought as a treat before leaving for trip & the fact he's already seen it ! I used sewing machine to sew areas that were close to edges - had to take out stitches to remove top squeaker to be able to sew around that area on both sides. Don't know how long this one will last even though I used quilting thread which is a bit stronger than regular thread. Hope this was just a bad one & if so, wish company's quality control would have caught this & rejected it.
