Hub 2 Plus is een centraal apparaat in het Ajax-beveiligingssysteem, dat de werking van alle aangesloten apparaten regelt en communiceert met de gebruiker en het beveiligingsbedrijf.

De hub rapporteert het openen van deuren, het breken van ramen, de dreiging van brand of overstroming en automatiseert routinematige acties met behulp van scenario's. Als buitenstaanders de beveiligde kamer betreden, stuurt Hub 2 Plus foto's van Motioncam / MotionCam Buiten bewegingsmelders en meld een patrouille van een beveiligingsbedrijf.

Hub 2 Plus heeft internettoegang nodig om verbinding te maken met de Ajax Cloud-service. De centrale is verbonden met internet via Ethernet, Wi-Fi en twee SIM-kaarten (2G/3G/4G).

Verbinding maken met Ajax Cloud is noodzakelijk voor het configureren en beheren van het systeem via Ajax-apps, het verzenden van meldingen over alarmen en gebeurtenissen, evenals voor het bijwerken OS Malevitsj. Alle gegevens op Ajax Cloud worden opgeslagen onder multilevel beveiliging, informatie wordt uitgewisseld met de hub via een versleuteld kanaal.

U kunt het beveiligingssysteem beheren en snel reageren op alarmen en meldingen via apps voor iOS, Android, macOS en Windows. Met het systeem kunt u kiezen welke gebeurtenissen en hoe u de gebruiker op de hoogte stelt: via pushmeldingen, sms of oproepen.

A good birds-eye view book.
Format: Paperback
I own the print version of this book, and am using it to teach a high school class on Godot. What I like: it's accessible and descriptive. The explanations in the later book of why the author is doing something are pretty good. They are written in plain English and most of the reasoning for why some things are being done are explained. What I don't like: the print quality *is* dark, but I'm not sure what you can do about that given that most of Godot is using a dark UI and the book is in black and white. I found it legible, most of the time, but there were moments I had to decipher it from context. Also, I think the initial scripting section is light on details and almost pointless from an educational standpoint. It shows the reader what is going on in normal GDScript, but does not take them through any exercises. The programming aspect of the book is better explained in later chapters, but I think for true beginners the scripting section should be reworked. Overall, I will use it but will supplement it for students. For personal use: if you have basic Godot knowledge this will probably not add too much to your abilities. If you are new to gamedev this is a good way to pick up the flow quickly, even though there is not a lot of depth.
