Zwavel is bij vele processen in het lichaam betrokken en is onlosmakelijk verbonden met de stofwisseling van mens en dier. Zwavel is zodoende betrokken bij de vorming van eiwitten in het lichaam. Het eiwit keratine, bijvoorbeeld, bestaat voor een gedeelte uit zwavel en hoefhoorn (onze nagels), huid en haar bestaan uit keratine! Keratine is een zogenaamd structuurelement. MSM kan zodoende bijdragen aan een betere hoefgroei.

Ter ondersteuning van de gezondheid van gewrichten en ligamenten
MSM draagt o.a. bij aan gezond kraakbeen, doordat het de aanmaak van collageen bevordert. Daarom wordt MSM vaak gegeven aan paarden met peesblessures, artrose en ontstekingen aan de gewrichten. Er zijn ook indicaties dat het ook preventieve therapeutische waarde heeft voor paarden in werk, vooral paarden in het zwaardere werk.

Om spierpijn, verzuring en ontstekingsreacties bij je paard te beperken
Onderzoek heeft aangetoond dat paarden minder snel verzuren als ze 10-20 gram MSM per dag toegediend krijgen. Ze vertoonden minder tekenen van ontsteking en bij bloed onderzoek bleven de AST en CK waarden lager dan zonder MSM.
Specifiek ontstekingsremmende effecten werden waargenomen bij een dosering van 20 gram per dag aan een volwassen paard.*

A favorite for my small destroyers

My small destroyer dogs LOVE these toys and are always surprised to find another toy after the first and second violent de-stuffing. Definitely a supervision toy for safety, but my terriers love doing their thing when these come out and they last much longer than I had anticipated. Color, design and value all as described, however I literally do not remember if it did squeak because the squeaker would be the first thing gone

My dogs love these toys which I would described more as plush bouncy balls.

My dogs usually like to chase small balls. However I thought they might like a change so I ordered a set of these. Boy my dogs love them! These toys are smaller and are more round and ball-like. When I throw them they are light weight and they bounce along on smooth flooring. They are made of a soft plush outer fabric and filled with soft stuffing. The squeaker doesn't work very well on any of them but it doesn't bother my dogs at all. I like the bright colors because they are easy to spot when they roll under a chair or table.
