volg ik de Heere Jezus in mijn dagelijks leven?' kan heel kort beantwoord
worden: Hem laten voorgaan. Zijn voetstappen volgen in afhankelijkheid,
gehoorzaamheid en liefde. Maar willen wij dit eigenlijk wel?
De auteur
begint bij onze onwil en de oorzaak ervan, en hoe we een volgeling kunnen
worden. Hij laat zien wat volgen daadwerkelijk inhoudt: een streep door mijn
ik. Ook benadert hij op concrete wijze het volgen van Jezus in de praktijk
van elke dag.
Ds. J. Westerink (1939) is christelijk gereformeerd
predikant te Urk (Maranathakerk) sinds 2005. Daarvoor diende hij de gemeenten
Kerkwerve (1963), Nunspeet (1971), Urk (1976), Bunschoten (1987) en Utrecht
(1999).
